Today’s Tracks #4

June 24, 2012

I have been listening to the wonderful Korean Homesick Blues podcast made by my friend Dave Candler. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

It’s a simple concept for a programme, but one that could only be done in this day and age – Dave, a Widnesian living in New York, but who lived in South Korea for two years, plays Korean indie music. Bands email Dave MP3s and he puts them in a half hour show.

It’s an eclectic mix of thrashy punk, dub, electronica and loads more besides. Subscribe to it on iTunes to help the old boy out.

Here’s two from a recent podcast I was listening to today. First up is Seoul based American hip hop electronicers Behold the Profit with ‘There is a Time for Shame’ and after that enjoy the saucy electronic sounds of Love X Stereo more American expats.
